Sharing and controlling documents can be a time-consuming and expensive nightmare. Documents have to be printed, faxed, emailed, photocopied or mailed overnight, possibly compromising information and deal security.
A project can include a collection of “selling memoranda,” business plans, photographs, documents, projections, agreements, audio files, reports, presentations, etc. in a hard copy format. It is difficult and time consuming to distribute this information to the various groups for evaluation. To a certain extent, the distribution process is improved when information is supplied on a CD, but even that can be hard to control and too slow for today’s fast-paced global business environment.
